Craziness at work.
Oops.
Note to self: your queue is set to auto-post. Sorry about that half-done post from before.
A Comparison
Advantages to working at home
No need for headphones
Less distractions
Unshared connection to the Internet
Ridiculous posture is acceptable
Bodily functions of all kinds can be taken care of at will
Disadvantages of working at home
No face-to-face contact
No distinction between work and home
Disconnected feeling
Missing out on the “intangibles”
Every once in a while,...

And a fitting redesign it is!
xkcd takes awesome to yet another new level. This is almost as good as OMG Ponies!
Hahaha awesome.
By way of Google Analytics, I just found out I’m the top search result for dislike usc.
Which is somewhat unfair, as I don’t really have anything against USC as a school. I just really dislike their football program. I shouldn’t define the school by their football program—as it appears, some who go to USC don’t even care about their football program!
Still, with...

What's the difference between a "disc" and a... →
I always thought of things this way, but now I feel vindicated. It also pleases the geek in me that Apple has a knowledge base article just for this. This may even eclipse my previous favorite KB article.
So, once and for all:
A disc refers to optical media, such as an audio CD, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, or DVD-Video disc. […] All discs are removable, meaning when you unmount or...

Side Benefits
Advantage to writing code for yourself: funny method names. And no one can get mad at you.

I really amuse myself.
Why hasn't Vista sold well? →

The upgrade market for average PC owners is dead. We [the software developers/geeks] killed it.
Great post about why only geeks care about upgrading their OS, and ruined the fun for everyone else.

Jeremy Clarkson on Supercars →
This is because, when you are in a supercar, you can resist stabbing the loud pedal for very long periods of time but eventually, you’ll think, “Hang on. This bit of road looks appropriate, I’ll open the taps.” And that’s a mistake, because no road is appropriate really for the savagery that results. Quickly, then, you will soil yourself.
To Jailbreak or not to jailbreak?
For those who have jailbroken their iPhones, is it worth it? Other than the convenience of SBSettings, why would I bother?
Taking Geeky Too Far
I find that more often than not I’ll snub my far-superior point and shoot camera in favor of just using the iPhone camera. This is because the point and shot doesn’t geotag the pictures it takes.
Useless poll
Do you remember where you were when you sent or received your first text message? To whom it was sent/from? When was it?
For me, it was the summer of 2001, and my family had just gotten Nokia 8260s all around, and we were at Disney World. We had separated into two groups—my mom and I were going to the Aerosmith Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster for a last ride of the night; my dad and...
FBI Cracks "Largest Phishing Case Ever" →
The FBI and Egyptian authorities have arrested 100 people in what they’re calling ‘the largest international phishing case ever conducted’ as part of a wide-scale investigation called Operation Phish Phry.
Oh those crazy pheds; they’re so phunny.

Jeremy Clarkson on the system →
What’s at fault is the system. The whole damn shooting match. The culture that says anyone who’s injured must be able to sue someone, and that if they won’t the State can step in and make a prosecution. Which will be successful unless the company in the dock can show it employed a man in a high-visibility jacket.

New York's park above the streets →
The High Line became one of our favorite spots in Manhattan within 5 minutes of the missus and I entering it.
No matter how much I want to play games on the iPhone, the only one that has kept my attention is Flight Control. I like short/quick games. What should I try?

Magic Kingdom in Tilt-Shift Video
“A Day at the Magic Kingdom Park” is a never-before-seen look at the park in miniature scale. The video is created from a series of photos snapped inside the Magic Kingdom Park. And the trick is tilt-shift photography.
I think its about time for a trip to Disney!
